Matthew 6:19-21

19"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

My Mission; My Secondary Assignment

We were given the option of starting a secondary project more personal to us to better benefit the host hospital and the inhabitants of the area and I've decided to take on the challenge of building an "equipment bank", if you would, for the hospital. Besides the out-dated medical equipment, the hospital is in need of basic repair equipment such as transistors, capacitors, wires, and other circuit components as well as basic hospital sanitation items such as gloves, scrubs, cleaning materials, proper disposal of needles, and etc. Because the sanitation is poor and electricity is not a guarantee, this contributes to the hospital not being "fully functioning".

My first task is to teach the staff how to repair their equipment. If we alone give them the materials to repair the equipment without proper instruction, the hospital still remains at a stand still. In order for the equipment to be repaired, we need the necessary materials. Having those same materials in multiple quantities prepares for the instance another machinery that may malfunction requiring the same materials.

I would like to begin building an "equipment bank" accessible to the hospital staff where once we've left and our program commences, their progress doesn't stop and they still have the necessary materials to become fully self-functioning. I ask for your assistance in the form of donations of the equipment attached in a list to this email or a monetary donation in order for us to purchase such equipment. The Public Hospital of Roatan serves approximately 1000 patients in a typical month and they annually treat 40,000 patients on an out-patient basis. This hospital is not fully equipped with the sanitation, equipment, and space that is needed for the amount of people it serves. My primary goal is to repair the equipment and
